Swimming

Room 1 has been having swimming lessons for the last 3 weeks at the Mosgiel Pool with JC Swim School. Swimming was fun and it has got everyone involved. We really enjoyed the flipper ball game on the last day and improved our swimming skills.

Red and Black

We had a very successful Red and Black Day to fundraise for the Christchurch Earthquake victims. We had a barbecue lunch, a cake stall and wore red and black clothes, Canterbury colours. We raised over $2500 dollars. Thanks to everyone who supported our day.

Rugby Cups

This term we were very lucky to have the World and Bledisloe Cups at school (Thanks to Mr Thorn's contacts). It was amazing to see them up close even though we were not allowed to touch them. We hope they both end up in the All Black cabinet this year.

Welcome to Room 1 2011

Hi we have had a busy start to the term with lots of wonderful things happening. We will add pictures and information throughout the year so please keep checking. We would love you to add some comments.

Orokonui Trip

On Tuesday 12 October the Senior Syndicate went on a trip to the Orokonui Sanctuary. The sun was shining and we had an awesome day as we rotated around the 8 different activities. Orokonui is an amazing place and we had a great day. Thanks to Tahu and her team.

First Aid

Shoes off Please!!

Over the holidays the tradesmen were very busy in the Senior block, laying new carpet, removing benches, putting in new cupboards and shifting our bag hooks. We love our new carpet and are looking after it by taking our shoes off when we enter the room.
