1st Aid

Last week Belinda from St John's taught us some basic First Aid that we may need to use in the playground or at home one day. We learnt how to deal with a bleeding nose, put someone in the recovery position, treat a bee sting, tend to a cut or graze and assist someone who is choking. We received a certificate, a small first aid kit and created a booklet to take home.

D.A.R.E Fun Day

Over the past 3 weeks the Senior Syndicate has been involved in the DARE to Make a Choice Programme run in association with the police. We have been learning about making good choices in a variety of situations. To celebrate our learning we had a run day on which we watched a police dog demonstration, rotated around a wide range of activities and had a share lunch. It was an awesome day enjoyed by everyone involved.

Fun Run

On Friday 31 August the circus hit town as the children of East Taieri School dressed up for their inaugural Fun Run. The children each set running goals for event and collected sponsors. We had a great day with lots of children getting into the spirit of the day by dressing up. Everyone worked really hard to achieve their goal and as a school we raised lots of money to purchase new P.E. equipment.
